Frankfurt, December 2009 Ypsilon.Net AG, provider of one of the most comprehensive full-content multi GDS air booking engines for travel agents and consolidators in Europe, FlightPro, has finalized its latest developments and now offers rail content.
The new enhancement will allow passengers or agents to see rail and airlines offered side by side with air content provided from different sources such as multi-GDS, low cost, charter, consolidated net fares, and web fares in Ypsilons FlightPro.
Customers will now have the choice to compare and book regular air carriers with train operators such as Thalys, Eurostar, ICE, TGV and more.
The technological functionality of the new rail content is available immediately and will deployed first in the Benelux and soon in other European countries as well.
After the release of the multi GDS platform as first provider in 2008, Ypsilons flight booking engine is in a state of continual technological and content enhancement, from different air content via cross selling content such as hotels (e. g. with integration of hotel content from booking.com, Totalstay, Onholidaygroup, GTA.Youtravel, TUI), rental cars, transfers, taxis and limousine services as well as insurances.
With this cutting-edge development, Ypsilon takes a further major step toward the ultimate multi source/multi content and multi GDS aggregation.
Patrick Coulomb, Ypsilon Vice President Sales & Marketing: After launching as first provider its multi gds platform last year and now with the integration of international rail content in the market, Ypsilon reinforces once again its reputation of first mover in the travel technology industry.
Rail connections are now bookable in connection to flights, in the same easy way than hotels, rental cars, transfers and insurances. This further cross selling opportunity serves as an additional source of income for our clients. We also adapt with this new content integration to the increase of demand for flexible flight-rail connections within Europe.
