Automated Fare Data Transfer to GDS

Negotiated airfare content in the GDS, automated pricing and ticketing are critical to all players in the travel industry.
In order to support Airlines, Consolidators and Travel agencies, Ypsilon developed in conjunction with Amadeus, an application that provides all users with the possibility to upload negotiated fare data directly into Amadeus.
The data is transferred to Amadeus via an XML exchange protocol provided by Amadeus Via a user friendly GUI (Graphical user interface).
The data is then entered and stored directly in a database.
The application includes the following data:

-Fares
-Rules
-Routings
-Booking Code Exception -Ticketing

Transfare also provides the possibility to load Dynamic Discounted Fares contracts.
Since the data is stored in a separate database, it can be exported for use in other private databases if needed.
Only the Transfare converter needs to be adapted to ensure full compatibility to the new export structure.
The structure of fares, rules, routing, booking code and ticketing methods is based on the fields provided by Amadeus XML interface.
Additional options can easily be included based on industry standard in order to constantly be up to date and meet the newest industry standards and requirements.
Complex yearly fares, special fares, corporate fares, all passenger types or fare types can be uploaded and retrieved via GDS cryptical commands

All changes and modifications will be registered and logged in an audit tool to provide historical information and to make it easier to track amendments and updates.
New users and user rights are easily managed in an administration portal.
TransFare provides a distribution management solution that restricts fares access to certain users only and also monitors the usability of the data per user.
(viewership only, for redistribution, for pricing and ticketing etc.)

A management tool calculates the mark up on net fares as flat amounts or percentage, as pre- defined by the owner of the fares or by the consolidators for re-distribution.
Mark up modifications are easy to do and provide greater flexibility on sales decisions.

TransFare simplifies the process of fare management and enlarges the opportunities to grow business for agencies or consolidators by having the fare content loaded directly in Amadeus.
